Winning Over Grief and Sorrow
1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.
In order to partake of and tolerate sorrow in our lives we have to reject the hope that was given us at Calvary. You can’t have them both. Grief is a spirit that will latch on to you and squeeze the Word of God out of your life. You can’t give grief and sorrow any place in your life. People will tell you that time will heal a wound, but that is not true. In time grief and sorrow will only grow in your life. Grief comes disguised as a simple “healthy” emotion. Then, little by little it drains you dry. It is devious and destructive, and it’s the constant companion of death itself. Isaiah 53:4 “Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows…” This single CD tells how you can and must win over grief and sorrow.
