Teach Them an Uncommon Faith

By Pastor George

I declare The WORD of God over you, according to Psalm 115:14: “The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children.” The spirit of increase is upon you. Everything you set your hands to do is prospering beyond measure this year!

Thank you for your faithfulness to EMIC and KCM and for bringing your supply of the spirit to our church. We so appreciate you, and Pastor Terri and I agree with you for an unprecedented harvest. We declare THE BLESSING is pouring out on you and your family.

Teach Them an Uncommon Faith - article by Pastor George

What is a “Faith Project?”

A “Faith Project” is a supernatural endeavor that requires taking a stand on God’s WORD to receive the desired result of something not seen in the natural realm. The world calls them “problems” or “impossibilities.” But we have Mark 9:23 (New Living Translation) that says, “Anything is possible if a person believes.”

As KCM’s CEO, I have been praying over all the projects He has given us to do. We are standing on Isaiah 54:2-3: “Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; for thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.”

What does it take to fulfill our God-given vision?

It will take the development of an uncommon faith.

I am reminded of a word The LORD gave me the year before we began pastoring. He told me: Take a group of people and disciple them intensely in The WORD. Teach them an uncommon faith. Help them stand victoriously in life. Work them in The WORD. Drill them.

The word uncommon is defined as “not common or ordinarily encountered; unusually great in amount or remarkable in character or kind; rare.” The first thing we need to realize about developing a rare, uncommon faith is found in Romans 12:3: “God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” When we were born again, we were all given the same measure of faith. The key is to develop and strengthen the faith we already have.

Here are some simple steps to developing an uncommon faith:

Step No. 1—Receive Jesus as the Developer of Your Faith
Hebrews 12:2 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition) says: “Looking away [from all that will distract] to
Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection].” Jesus is the developer or trainer of our faith. We can expect Him to develop it every time we put our faith on the line by believing His WORD.

Step No. 2—Give The WORD First Place, and Make It Final Authority
Proverbs 4:20-22 tells us: “Attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” Always ask, “What does God’s WORD say about my situation?” Then say, “THAT IS THE FINAL WORD!”

Step No. 3—Continually Feed on The WORD
Matthew 4:4 reveals: “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” The WORD of God is faith food for our spirits. It will build us up and strengthen our faith. Here is the Pastor George translation of Romans 10:17: “Faith comes by feeding, and feeding on The WORD of God.”

Step No. 4—Meditate The WORD
Meditating on The WORD builds a capacity for an uncommon faith. Joshua 1:8 (New King James Version) declares: “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Meditating is spending time applying The WORD to our situation.

Step No. 5—Act on The WORD
James 1:22 says: “Be ye doers of The WORD, and not hearers only….” Doing The WORD puts faith on the line. One way we do The WORD is to speak The WORD.

Faith grows when The WORD becomes a vital part of our daily speech. I like Pastor Terri’s famous quote: “If your mouth will feed your heart faith when you don’t need it, your heart will feed your mouth faith when you do need it.”

Step No. 6—Pray in the Spirit
Jude 20 says: “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit” (NKJV). First Corinthians 14:4 tells us, “He who speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself” (Modern English Version). Praying in tongues builds up our faith.

Step No. 7—Continually Give God Praise and Thanksgiving
Praise and thanksgiving are what we do between the “amen” and “there it is” of our prayer. Praise encourages our faith. Praise is our affirmation of receiving what we have believed. Say this out loud: “Praise God! Thank You, LORD. I believe I have it now by faith in Jesus’ Name!”

Standing in uncommon faith with YOU,

Pastor George
