Is anyone sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your faults to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much. 
Oil represents the power of the Holy Spirit and is a symbol of faith in God’s ability to cleanse, heal and restore. It is an act of consecrating your body to Him.
We can see examples of this healing anointing in Mark, when Jesus sent his disciples out into the villages to minister to the people.
And they went out and preached that men should repent. And they cast out many devils and anointed with oil many that were sick and healed them. (Mark 6:12 -13 NKJV)
The Oil is Symbolic
The anointing oil is a symbol of the completed work of Jesus on the cross. Through His death and resurrection we have life. When you apply the oil, it is with this revelation of His finished work that your faith connects with the power of the Holy Spirit. The anointing is the burden removing yoke destroying anointing.
The anointing oil has no virtue or power of its own. It is used merely as a point of contact for the individual who is sick, to release his or her faith to receive healing.
It is the Prayer of Faith that Releases The Power of God
God’s Word will work in any situation when it is put to work! No matter how bad the problem looks, when you start confessing the end result–confessing things that are not as though they are–you operate in the God-kind of faith (2 Corinthians 4:17-18).
That kind of faith names things as God does. You are the establishing witness in this earth.
In order to change the reality that you are faced with, you must get on something eternal–the Word of God. Just believing there is not a problem will not do away with the problem. The problem, which is under the law of sin and death, must be superseded by a higher law–the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:2).
That law, like any of the other things of God, must be put in motion by faith. By releasing your faith out of your mouth, you unleash the power of God to change any situation Satan has had his hand in.
Pray In Agreement
As believers, we can partake of one another’s supply of faith through the united prayer of agreement. Through this unified process of faith, we put ourselves in position to receive a greater manifestation of the power of the Holy Spirit.
We encourage you to stand in agreement with us and make a demand on the healing power of God, understanding that Jesus is the Healer. We receive the resurrection life that raised Jesus from the dead manifest this day in the Name of Jesus!
